Now this is kinda cheating, since I didn't actually make this wall-hanging. But it's so awesome that I just had to share it with y'all.
A friend made it as a birthday present for my Mum last (?) year, and after months of faithful stitching, finished it just a few days ago. Since then, it has been hanging proudly by our front door for all our visitors to admire upon entering the house. :)
(The wall-hanging was made to match our house which is very colourful-- there are no white walls.)

ReplyDeleteI've recently started sewing again, (after 5 years of never touching a sewing machine!) and have remembered just how much I love doing it. I'm a complete amateur at it, but am learning each time I use it. There's just something so delightful in pressing down the machine pedal, and seeing something form under your hands.
And I get my blog on Thursday, which is my 14th, so you should get an invite sometime this week.
